Gospel according to Luke 17:20-25
En ce temps-là, les pharisiens demandaient à Jésus quand viendrait le règne de Dieu. Il leur répondit : « La venue du règne de Dieu ne se laisse pas observer. »
« Et l’on ne dira pas : “Le voici, il est ici !” ou bien : “Il est là !” Car voici que le règne de Dieu est au milieu de vous. »
Jésus dit encore à ses disciples : « Des jours viendront où vous désirerez voir un seul des jours du Fils de l’homme, et vous ne le verrez pas. »
« On vous dira : “Le voici, il est ici !” ou bien : “Il est là !” N’y allez pas, n’y courez pas. »
« En effet, comme l’éclair qui jaillit illumine l’horizon d’un bout à l’autre, ainsi le Fils de l’homme, quand son jour sera là. »
« Mais auparavant, il faut qu’il souffre beaucoup et qu’il soit rejeté par cette génération. »
At that time, the Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of God would come. He answered them, “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed.”
“And people will not say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.”
Then he said to his disciples, “The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.”
“People will say to you, ‘Look, there he is!’ or ‘Look, here he is!’ Do not go off, do not run in pursuit.”
“For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day.”
“But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation.”
Prière / Prayer
Seigneur Jésus, ton règne n’est pas un spectacle, il se cache dans nos cœurs. Apprends-nous à reconnaître ta présence dans le silence, la simplicité, et la foi du quotidien. Que ton Royaume grandisse en nous, non pas dans la gloire du monde, mais dans la lumière de ton amour.
Viens régner en nos vies, Seigneur, maintenant et à jamais.
Lord Jesus, your Kingdom is not a spectacle; it dwells quietly within our hearts. Teach us to recognize your presence in silence, simplicity, and daily faith. May your Kingdom grow within us—not in worldly glory, but in the light of your love.
Come and reign in our lives, Lord, now and forever.
